Friday Fun: Scottie Scheffler's Driver "Cheat Code"

Plus, in Trivia - How many times has the U.S. Open been held at Oakmont?

Happy Friday! Sometimes golf can feel like a video game on “hard” mode, and nothing you try will make it easier. Hitting the driver consistently is one of the hardest parts of the game, but today we have a “cheat code” directly from world #1. Instead of pushing “left-right-down-up-A”, listen to Scottie Scheffler’s driver hack that will help any golfer improve their consistency off the tee!

Let’s go!

When Scottie Scheffler hands out tips, we listen

We know Scottie Scheffler is great off the tee (well, he’s great at everything), but how does he bomb it so consistently? Turns out, he changes his setup slightly when hitting driver in order to optimize his launch angle. By tilting your spine slightly away from the target to form a “reverse K”, you can promote an upward angle of attack - the perfect recipe for length off the tee!

We’ve all been here (and if you say you haven’t ever done this, you’re lying) - you miss your first putt by a couple of feet, and think “no big deal, i’ll just go kick it in really quick and get out of everyone’s way”, but the golf gods have other plans. These hurt worse than a bad breakup, and can sometimes cost more money, too. Throw a coin on it!

That’s a “Triple Bogey” Failure as a Cart Driver

If you’ve been playing golf for a while, you’ve probably seen your fair share of unbelievable things on a golf course. Between the wildlife, inclement weather, and any number of crazy good (and bad) shots, golf has a way of keeping us on our toes. But this one… we have to agree, this one is wild! How is this even possible?!
