Friday Fun: Tiger Wasn't Trying to Be Perfect, and Neither Should We!

Plus, in Trivia - Who has the most second place finishes in majors without a win?

Happy Friday! Tiger Woods has the ability to take any golf shot and make it incredibly routine - he hardly makes mistakes, and this has everything to do with with preparation and work ethic! However, and know this is hard to hear….even Tiger Woods misses shots! Golf is, and always will be, a game of misses, so make sure that you remember that the next time you step into a shot expecting perfection.

Listen to Tiger talk about where he’s looking on approaches, and why avoiding perfection is a great way to stay sane in golf.

Let’s get into it!

If Tiger Woods Says This Game is Hard, It Must Be So
The best advice for amateur players from the one of the best to ever play

Tiger was god-like at times during his career, but he made many more errors than you might think. When he was asked about what he thinks about with his approach shots, his response was perfect - “this game is too hard to be perfect.” Give yourself margins for error by picking a safe landing spot and avoid trouble spots!

What an Incredible Read!
You know it’s good when he shouts “TELL ME YOU RECORDED THAT!”

Is this the putt of the year? Fringe to opposite fringe and around the sprinkler heads, wow. Most of us would have been happy with anything inside 5 feet… and he even had the perfect speed!

Scottie Scheffler - PGA Tour Winner AND Dad of the Year
Unbothered by a messy diaper - welcome to fatherhood, Scottie!

When most players are coming off the green after a winning putt, they are greeted with hugs and tears of joy. But Scottie? The guy’s wins are so routine at this point that his wife makes sure to remind him that it’s his turn in the diaper duty rotation.
