Happy Tuesday! Every golfer has a goal in mind when they tee it up - whether it’s to break 90, hit more fairways, or just to beat your buddies by any means necessary. While scrappy golf can get the job done occasionally, there are certain things that you can focus on to get your game consistently trending in the right direction, and that’s exactly what we have for you today.

Let’s jump right in!

TIPS & DRILLS
3 Insights to Break Into the Next Handicap Tier
Don’t worry about swing mechanics, take a different approach
To Recap…

Most golfers want the same thing - to shoot the lowest scores possible. We all want to respond with confidence (instead of shame) when someone asks us, “Hey, what's your handicap?” Here are 3 things that you can focus on so that you can stand proud with the game you have!

#1: Stop worrying about what your golf swing looks like: No need for a flawless Adam Scott-like swing. If you can play, no one cares what your swing looks like. Focus on the feels that produce good shots, especially at the impact area, and watch your swing become way more consistent.
#2: Focus on a singular ball flight: It’s fun to hit different shot types on the course, but for most players, if you try to hit ALL of the shots (high draws, low fades, etc.), you’ll usually never master any of them. You can play REALLY good golf hitting the same shot shape 100% of the time.
#3: Practice putting just as much as you practice the full swing: Putting accounts for just under ½ the total number of strokes that you take in a round, so why wouldn’t you spend just as much time working on it as you do the full swing? Focus on consistency from close range and distance control from longer distancees to eliminate 3-putts, and your scores will be so much lower!

PRO TIP: Notice that none of these are mechanical changes to your golf swing - by simply changing the way that you approach the game, you can make a big impact on your score. Stop worrying so much about the mechanics of the golf swing and adopt a better strategy instead!
